RE: why do day/night shades get such a bad rap?
The answer is how much you use them. If you fulltime & use them every day you will soon find out they will not last very long. If you use them a few weekends in the summer they will last forever.

Bumpyroad Whats the big deal with the roof? Every post you have is about the roof. I have had both rubber & fiberglass & never had a problem with any of them. There so many other things Floorplan,chassis, etc. etc. my2cts

Skylight leaking
It is not leaking around the frame so there must be a crack in the dome, not a lot but some drips on the plastic cover that is flush with the celing,any thing you can spray on the dome to prevent this? Thanks for any help.

You can plan on about $500.00 for the horns & install, It should take them about 1 hour. I had mine done at Camping World but I can nor recomend them. Thats another story.

Water in skylight
I noticed water drops on the plastic cover under the skylight so I removed it and there was water under the dome of the skylight. But no water or trace of water any where else. The frames on the roof have been re caulked. No leaks there. Where is it coming from?

Whats the big deal with the rubber or TPO roofs? I have had 5 motorhomes with a rubber or TPO roof. Never had a leak. But do have a neighbor with a Winnie that has a cracked fiberglass roof.

If you bought your MH to save money you should have checked that out before, If you look at it that way plus insurance,payment,upkeep,depreciateion etc. You will go nuts. Enjoy the lifestyle.

Help 5500 onan
I have a 03 5500 it starts runs fine untill you put a load on it then it surges, Ihave changed all the filters gas,oil air. No help it has 35 hrs. Part of the problem im sure. But any help?
